A 28-GHz Fully-Passive Retro-Reflective Phased-Array Backscattering Transceiver for 5G Network with 24-GHz Beam-Steered Wireless Power Transfer

摘要
This paper introduces a phased-array rectifier with the rotationally symmetric antenna pairs, which realize 2D beamforming with fine resolution in WPT and 28-GHz retro-reflective phased-array backscattering technique. The transceiver receives 24-GHz WPT and 28-GHz 5G signal from co-direction for Rx mode and transmits 28-GHz to retro-reflective direction for Tx mode. The 64-elements module achieves −30.1dB and −39.7dB EVM for 100-MHz 64QAM modulated signal in Tx and Rx modes, respectively.
