Application of genetic algorithm in path planning of high-voltage transmission lines

The path planning of high voltage transmission lines is affected by many factors. The planning of high voltage transmission lines is generally based on the experience of the staff and the simplified influencing factors in recent years. The purpose of this study is to comprehensive consideration of multiple influencing factors and combining with genetic algorithm to propose a smart high voltage transmission line path planning method. In the planning area, a variety of factors are converted into the construction cost of the transmission line, with the cost of the transmission line as the optimization goal, the initial path is randomly generated in the planning area to form the initial population, and the population is selected, crossed, and mutated. After iterating the prescribed algebra, the planned high voltage transmission line path is output in the planned area. Genetic algorithm can be applied to path planning of high voltage transmission lines while comprehensively considering multiple influencing factors. The experimental results show that in the planned area, the genetic algorithm can recommend low cost high voltage transmission lines. It provides a method of transmission line planning that comprehensively considers a variety of influencing factors and combines genetic algorithms.
