Experimental investigation and exergy analysis of a high concentrating photovoltaic system integrated with spray cooling

•A high concentrating photovoltaic system with spray cooling is proposed to reduce the contact thermal resistance.•The surface uniformity of photovoltaic cells has been greatly improved.•An exergy analysis of the system under high concentration ratio and high pressure is proposed.
