摘要

•Manganese-based catalysts are characterized by electron paramagnetic resonance.•Superoxide radical (O2*) is observed in all samples.•O2* is born of accepting electrons through overlapped orbits of Mn-d and O-p.•O2* produces nitrogen-containing free radicals during SCR.•Ce and La doping increase the number of O2*, thus increasing SCR performances.
