Preparation of double-doping LaFeO3 thin film for ethanol sensing application

•La0.8Pb0.1Ca0.1FeO3 sample crystallizes in the orthorhombic structure with Pnma space group.•Our compound presents a nano-metric size.•La0.8Pb0.1Ca0.1FeO3shows a p-type semiconductor behavior.•La0.8Pb0.1Ca0.1FeO3 sensor is a captor of ethanol-gas even with low concentration equal to 5 ppm.•T=250°C is the operating temperature of La0.8Pb0.1Ca0.1FeO3sensor.
