MSFNet: MultiStage Fusion Network for infrared and visible image fusion

•We explore a novel multistage approach that can generate high quality images.•we design a cross-stage fusion module for more effective information fusion.•We upsample the features with bilinear interpolation and deformable convolution.•Qualitative and quantitative evaluations demonstrate the superiority of our method.
