Performance study of transcritical CO2 heat pump integrated with ejector and latent thermal energy storage for space heating

•A transient heat pump system integrated with ejector and energy storage is proposed.•The compound system has small PEC and large PER in low ambient temperature.•Life cycle cost is done by combining dynamic simulation and optimization algorithm.•The proposed system has better thermodynamic and economic performances.
