摘要
Summary It is hard to characterize the reservoir fluid in tight sandstone because of its low porosity and low permeability. AVO technique is an important tool to inverse the reservoir parameters from the seismic data. This study focuses on the gas saturation characterization of tight sandstone based on the AVO attributes. Considering the key issues include the rock physics modeling and the construction of the gas saturation inversion model. We first introduce the Backus average and Gassmann’s equation to construct the rock physics model. Then, through the forward modeling, the relationship between gas saturation and AVO attribute is established. Based on the relationship, we develop an optimization model to inverse the gas saturation. We apply the proposed workflow to the field data acquired in the East China Sea. The real data application illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed workflow.
