Prediction of prognosis in patients with panic disorder using pre-treatment brain white matter features

•Panic disorder (PD) pathogenesis is related to fear network connectivity.•We evaluated if baseline white matter (WM) connectivity can predict PD prognosis.•The sparsity model identified WM regions predictive of PD prognosis after pharmacotherapy.•The characterization of WM connectivity can improve biomarker-based approaches in clinical practice.
