摘要
Renewable energy sources are extensively used in the modern era for power generation due to their clean and green nature. The renewable energy sources integration makes the power grid more complex due to their intermittent nature. The frequency stability has great concern for operating the micro-gird in an isolated mode. This needs effective and efficient control techniques for the stability of the isolated micro-grid. Therefore, this paper aims to present a control technique that can effectively regulate the frequency deviation of an isolated micro-grid, which consists of a wind turbine, photovoltaic system, reheated turbine system, electric vehicles, and domestic loads. The proposed control technique is comprised of adaptive droop control for charging and discharging of EVs and fuzzy PI controller are utilized for frequency regulation of wind turbine and reheat generator. To test the proposed controller performance, this isolated micro-grid system is developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK. In addition, system performance comparisons between PI and fuzzy PI controllers are performed. The simulation results indicate the proposed control techniques' superiority in regulating and stabilizing the isolated micro-grid frequency. Moreover, the fuzzy PI controller signifies the effectiveness of the frequency regulation performance over the PI controller.
