摘要
The plasma membrane is critical for the development of life and resilience of the cell and organism. Membrane integrity and physical organization are crucial for cellular function and mechanics. Gulf War Illness (GWI) corresponds to an array of symptoms that affect 250,000 U.S. military veterans that served at Operation Desert Storm (1990-1991). There is high symptom multiplicity: symptoms include chronic fatigue, musculoskeletal pain, cognitive dysfunction, sleep disturbances, gastrointestinal, and respiratory, and dermatological symptoms.
