Multipoles THz Metamaterial Biosensor for Low-Density Biomarker Detection

摘要
In this paper, a highly sensitive multipole THz metamaterial biosensor on a High Resistivity Silicon (HR-Si) substrate is proposed to detect low-density biomarkers. The presented full-wave simulation demonstrated asymmetric, high-Q, and line-shape resonance modes at the frequencies between 870–890 GHz. The results show the metamaterial biosensor's ability to detect an ultra-thin layer of the analyte with a low-density biomarker.
