Clarifying core competencies in One Health doctoral education: The central contribution of systems thinking

One Health (OH) is an integrated approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals, and ecosystems. On the basis of a review of OH doctoral programs, we advocate for integrating so-cial-ecological systems thinking in OH doctoral training to maximize the impact of future OH research and interventions.
