Potential efficacious materials investigation of Yi-Yi Mixture based on Metabolome-oriented network pharmacology strategy

•Ametabolome-oriented network pharmacology strategy was proposed and successfully applied.•The chemicalome and metabolome of YYM were systematically studied by an UPLC/Q-TOF MS method.•32 prototypes and 37 related metabolites were characterized in rat bio-samples as metabolome of YYM.•Resveratrol, resveratrol-O-sulfate, emodin, chrysophanol, and rhein were suggested as for quality control markers for YYM.
