摘要

Among 9 cinchonidine-derived catalysts tested in the reaction of diene (II) with imine (IIIa), compound (I) exhibits the highest yield of pyridone (IVa) and is applied to study the scope of the reaction with other (E)-imines as well as cyclic imines.
