Análise geoestatística da segregação socioespacial em Divinópolis, Minas Gerais: o Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida em perspectiva

The Brazilian government housing program “Minha Casa Minha Vida” (PMCMV) had great impact on the construction of affordable housing, playing a decisive role in the national real estate market dynamics. The present study aims to spatially evaluate the socioeconomic dynamics in Divinopolis, MG city under the PMCMV program, through the application of geostatistics and techniques of spatial analysis. It is intended to better understand the repercussions of licensed projects between 2008 and 2016 in the local urban dynamic. The socio-spatial distribution of Divinopolis is characterized by lower income groups located in peripheral areas and higher income groups located in central and integrated areas. Regarding the PMCMV ventures, the clear majority are located in areas settled by the first group mentioned above, intensifying socio-spatial segregation in the city.
