摘要
Currently, a large number of power electronic (PE) devices are integrated into distribution power systems. Using traditional digital simulation software and hardware offline testing platforms, it is difficult to achieve real-time monitoring and diagnostics on the various PE devices due to the complex dynamics. In this paper, a novel method, namely the real-time field-programmable gate array-digital twin (FPGA-DT), is proposed and applied on the monitoring and diagnostics of power electronic transformer (PET). The method is developed by generating and evaluating difference vectors of the results, which are obtained from the actual system and its FPGA digital twin respectively. Then, the vector calculation is performed for the standard logic of the monitoring and diagnostics. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by performing four scenarios including sudden load, photovoltaic shadow, three-phase short-circuit and single-phase short-circuit.
