A Wireline Termination Embedded Energy Harvesting System With 300-mu W Extracted

An energy harvesting system with a three-phase rotating and 5xtime-interleaving switched capacitor (SC) is proposed to be embedded in a wireline I/O interface. By a 50-Omega (Z(0)) mimicking at the termination to harvest the energy from the wireline received signal, the harvesting system can extract 300-mu W net power. The proposed energy harvester is fabricated in a 40-nm CMOS technology.
