Seguridad en México en tiempos de la 4T

espanolEl presente articulo analiza el tema de la seguridad en Mexico en la primera mitad de la administracion de Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Aqui se explican los principales elementos de la estrategia en este rubro del gobierno de la llamada Cuarta Transformacion (4T) y sus resultados. Tambien se describe el estado de la delincuencia organizada en el pais durante este periodo. Finalmente, se identifican areas de oportunidad y posible accion para el resto del sexenio. Se reconocen algunos avances minimos en materia de seguridad en fechas recientes, pero se concluye que los resultados generales dejan mucho que desear. EnglishThis article analyzes the issue of public security in Mexico during the first half of the Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador administration. The main elements of the strategy in this area of the government of the so-called Cuarta Transformacion (4T) and its results are explained here. The state of organized crime in the country during this period is also described. Finally, areas of opportunity and potential action are identified for the remaining three years of the administration’s term. Although some advances in public security have to be acknowledged, I nonetheless conclude that the overall results are unsatisfactory.
