Data-Driven based Tap Positions Optimization of Distribution Transformers

In order to make full use of the voltage regulation capability of a distribution transformer with off-circuit tap-changer, we proposed a strategy for adjusting the tap positions of distribution transformers to solve the problem of voltage quality of the distribution network caused by frequent voltage violation. Taking the user-side voltage qualified rate and the action times of the switching equipment as the objective function, we establish a multi-objective optimization model to optimize the tap positions of the distribution transformer. And then we use genetic algorithm based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to solve the proposed optimization model and obtain the optimal distribution transformer tap position. Finally, case study based on the practical data shows that this method can effectively reduce the voltage deviation and improve the voltage qualification rate.
