Wireless Sensor Actor Nodes for the Building Automation

This work presents a snapshot of a joint industry and academic research project on wireless sensor actor netw orks for the building automation. We briefly present a new developed generic sensor/actor node and a testbed support node. We fur ther explain the software parts which have been developed for thi s project. This includes the porting of TinyOS on the developed hardware platform and the additional software needed to control test deployments. Our hardware is a ready to use contribution to the wireless sensor/actor network community working with real world ind oor deployments. The generic sensor/actor node together with t he testbed support node can be plugged into a PoE LAN. This allows quick indoor deployments and convenient control ove r testbed experiments.
