Structural subgrid scale model based on wavelet filter for large eddy simulation of particle-laden turbulence

•Differential filtered (DF) model combined with wavelet filter is proposed.•DF model can effectively reconstruct the SGS coherent vortex structure.•Subgrid langevin model is not suitable for predicting particle pair statistics.•DF model based on wavelet filter is a promising approach for two-phase LES.
