The conventional automation technique for the purpose of determining the angle of repose, which is handy in determining the material properties like to study the flow of particles, size of granules and type of material etc. in the present circumstances is questionable. This is because of the use of rudimentary methods to derive the angle of repose. To overcome this hindrance we have come up with a heuristic approach to derive the angle of repose by designing a movable platform embedded with sensors. In this process we derive the angle of repose using CORDIC algorithm by FPGA implementation and fabricate the characteristics of the material to enhance the ability in automation of chemical industries.
