Output power enhancement in photonic-based 300-GHz generation by optical pulse compression with a dispersion managed highly-nonlinear fiber

摘要
In this manuscript, we numerically investigated output power enhancement in photonic-based 300-GHz generation by optical pulse compression with a dispersion managed fiber (DMF). A figure of merit (FOM) is introduced in order to evaluate the power enhancement quantitatively. We found that the 5-dB gain bandwidth for four-sectioned DMF becomes 2.5 times broader than that for a single fiber.
