In this work, a scalar potassium magnetometer based on amplitude modulated nonlinear magneto-optical rotation (AM NMOR) is experimentally built and reaches noise level of $30{\text{fT}}/\sqrt {{\text{Hz}}} $ under a low-noise bias magnetic field.
