We leverage supervised/semi-supervised methods and Lasso to perform nonlinearity compensations in a fiber/FSO system. A proof-of-concept experiment has demonstrated up to 3.1-dB power-margin improvement and significantly reduced pilot symbol ratio. (C) 2021 The Author(s)
