Just because you're powerless doesn't mean they aren't out to get you: Low power, paranoia, and aggression

•Past research suggests paranoia is primarily a property of the powerful.•However, five studies show that low power (vs. baseline) also increases paranoia.•Paranoia, in turn, leads to more aggressive behaviors both at work and at home.•Substitute resources (socioeconomic status, organizational support) attenuate these effects.
