Mobile or stationary? An analysis of strontium and carbon isotopes from Västerbjers, Gotland, Sweden

•First analysis of strontium isotopes of teeth attributed to the Pitted-Ware Culture.•Results indicate a stationary population, not mobile, with some migrants that possibly derives from the island (regional mobility).•A more nuanced dietary analysis suggesting a strong dependence of terrestrial resources, hitherto underestimated by previous research.
