Geochemical characteristics of chlorite in the Luohe iron deposit in the middle-lower Yangtze metallogenic Belt, Eastern China

•The ratios of Ti/Pb, Mg/Sr, and Ti/Sr in the chlorite is negatively related to the distance from the intrusive rock.•Chlorite trace elements vary systematically with distance from the mineralisation centre.•The Luohe mineralisation centre is located in the southwest of the mining area at a depth of 2300–2500 m.
