Where are the children in national hepatitis C policies? A global review of national strategic plans and guidelines

•Most national HCV policies lack specific recommendations for HCV testing and treatment in children and adolescents.•Only 33 countries have specific recommendations for treatment of children and/or adolescents.•Updated guidance on testing and treatment is needed for younger age groups.•Efforts are particularly needed in countries with a high HCV burden in children.
