Shortly after the COVID-19 State of Emergency was declared in Pennsylvania, USA, AB, a 33-year old female at 28 weeks gestation with a history of Bipolar I Disorder and a previous healthy pregnancy resulting in a live birth, presented to her outpatient psychiatrist via telemental health visit with increased depressive symptoms. She reported sustained low mood with intermittent tearfulness, difficulty sleeping, and feelings of hopelessness for over two weeks.
