摘要
This paper presents an experimental study exploring the effects of different types of polyethylene (PE) fibers and curing methods on the compressive strength and tensile behavior of calcium-based alkali-activated slag composites. Three types of PE fibers were used and a matrix mixture was designed using slag and calcium hydroxide. A series of experiments was performed to measure and compare the compressive strength and tensile properties of each mixture, and single fiber pullout test and fiber-bridging analysis were also performed. It was found that the types of PE fibers and curing methods significantly affected the properties of the composites. The single fiber pullout test results showed that the interfacial properties between matrix and PE fiber depend on the types of PE fibers. The tension test results were explained by performing fiber-bridging analysis. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
