Fixing Spellings of Colloquial Words using a Crowd Based Game

ABSTRACTColloquial, slang and transliterated words in Hindi ofen lack standardised spellings and hence pose a challenge in spelling correction using existing language resources. We propose the design of a crowd- based game that relies on knowledge of native Hindi speakers to determine spellings of colloquial words taken from a dataset of conversationally typed words.
