摘要

•LAPTM4B could not be used as a biomarker for breast cancer (BC) disease in Egyptians.•The six other studied candidates were confirmed as biomarkers for BC susceptibility.•OPG SNPs (G1181C and T950C) were associated with fibroadenoma (FA) susceptibility.•LAPTM4B, VDR (BsmI and FokI), YKL-40 G−131C, and RANKL T643C had no role in FA.
