Hardware-based error detection and correction (EDAC) techniques are used to mitigate the impact of transient soft errors. In our prior work, we detailed an application-specific c ontextual c orrection t echnique t hat works t o e xtend the capabilities of existing EDAC schemes to correct detectable but otherwise uncorrectable errors. In this work, we extend our prior work by investigating the impact that miscorrections have on a running hydrodynamics application.
