摘要

•Formation of GdCo2 alloy phase on rapid annealing of a Gd/Co multilayer at 600 °C for 0.5 h in the vacuum.•A large interdiffusion of elements at interfaces on annealing of the multilayer.•PNR results suggested ferromagnetic behavior for GdCo2 alloy at the room temperature.
