摘要
This research shows how a rural library (named Fatemeha Library) in Iran can be transformed into a successful one and how it is possible to introduce a prototype for the establishment and development of rural libraries in less developed regions of the world. The study was a qualitative one based on both narrative research and grounded theory. The research population consisted of 13 key informants. After the implementation of interviews and field notes, data were analyzed using open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. Based on the paradigmatic model of research, it was found that Fatemeha Library, as a phenomenological basis, has played a central role in the process of transformation in the nonformal education of children and the reading culture of the villagers. The results showed that the basic factor in this qualitative paradigm leads to rural development with the centrality of a rural library.
