摘要
In this study, generalized extreme value (GEV) distribution was fitted to the extreme maximum temperature (TMAX) and extreme minimum temperature (TMIN) in Harbin. It was found that inclusion of the trend and the Arctic Oscillation index as covariates in the location parameter when applying the GEV fit to TMIN resulted in a significant improvement over the model without covariates. The estimated return levels for 100-year and 10-year return periods using the GEV were obtained for both TMAX and TMIN.
