摘要

This paper aims to examine papyrological evidences about the rhetor Aelius Theon, the author of Progymnasmata. Besides P.Cair. TR 26/6/27/1-41, which is so far the only papyrus in the direct tradition of Progymnasmata, I will also analyse a documentary papyrus (P.Oxy. 3992), a letter written by a certain Aelius Theon.
