•Non-dominated solutions for the STHE multi-objective problem are found using MOPSO algorithm.•The uncertainties present in the STHE mathematical model are considered through the construction of scenarios.•Multi-criteria decision-making under uncertainty finds the rational solution to the STHE problem.
