The invention provides a nitrogen-doped graphene material as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: heating graphene oxide under protection of an ammonia-argon mixed gas, and performing treatment to obtain the nitrogen-doped graphene material. The nitrogen-doped graphene material provided by the invention can be used in removal of tetracycline hydrochloride in water; the nitrogen-doped graphene material prepared by the method can adsorb, catalyze, oxidize and degrade the tetracycline hydrochloride in the water, and has the advantages of a thorough removing effect, a fast removing rate, environmental friendliness and the like, and therefore the nitrogen-doped graphene material can be applied to rapid and thorough degradation of a tetracycline hydrochloride-enriched water body; and in addition, the preparation method provided by the invention has the advantages of a simple process, low costs and a short cycle, and can be applied to industrialized large-scale production of the nitrogen-doped graphene material.
