High-Order Impulse Modulation with the Pseudo-Orthogonal Filter Bank

摘要
With the development of 5G technology, it is necessary to transmit backhaul-data with higher spectral efficiency. In this letter, the high-order impulse radio modulation technology is proposed based on the pseudo-orthogonal band-pass and matched filters. Due to the high-order impulses, the spectrum efficiency is improved drastically. compared with the traditional impulsive keying modulation, e.g. the modulation in GX4000 manufactured by Fujitsu, the transmission rate is expected to be improved from 3.6Gbps to 18Gbps by using 32 filters in the filer bank. The simulation confirms the validity and efficiency of the proposed scheme. The feasibility and correctness of the system are verified by simulation results, and the system can be widely applied in the field of the large-capacity wireless transmission.
