摘要
5167MicroRNAs are short non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression. They have been shown to be associated with cancer and other diseases, as well as with major biological processes such as development and differentiation. However, previous studies on microRNA profiles and their relation to disease have been based solely on tissues and cell lines. Rosetta Genomics has developed an integrative robust platform for extracting and profiling of microRNAs from body fluids including from the cell-free fraction of these fluids. The protocol was successfully applied to all body fluids and cell-free fluids examined, including serum, urine, saliva, amniotic fluid and pleural fluid. We developed a proprietary qRT-PCR based method for microRNA detection and quantification, and applied it to RNA extracted from body fluids. Our qRT-PCR design demonstrates extremely high sensitivity and specificity, and is able to …
