An maize leaf segmentation algorithm based on image repairing technology

•A maize image segmentation algorithm is proposed based on image repairing technology.•Two traditional models are trained using the color and spatial features of the pixels.•The primary segmentation result is re-segmented through super-pixel method.•Broken leaves are repaired by the Bezier curve fitting method to form the final result.
