A Simple Model For Outdoor To Indoor Penetration Loss Considering Vertical Incident Angle At 5 Ghz Band

Recently, the next generation (5-th generation: 5G) mobile communication systems have been actively investigated all over the world. Various systems exist when considering the microwave bands after the introduction of 5 G systems. Hence, the propagation characteristics when considering the interference among the systems is very important. In this paper, a simple outdoor to indoor (O2I) propagation model is proposed from the measurement at 5 GHz band. In the proposed model, we focus on the difference of the incident angle from outdoor to indoor in the vertical plane and it is shown that the proposed model realizes the additional loss by using only angles in the vertical plane.
