摘要
A human cell line was gene-edited to provide a visually observable fluorescence response to extracellular free calcium using the CRISPR-Cas9 system. The developed sensor cells have a dynamic range of 0.01-10 mu M, and the ability to be reused for multiple signal excitations. We envision using gene-edited cells as responsive elements within tissue engineered constructs that interface with the body for noninvasive semi-continuous monitoring of circulating analytes.
