摘要

•The layered GO and Mg(OH)2 nanocomposite were synthesized by wet chemical route.•Enhancement of the PL after adsorption of Cd2+ and Pb2+ ions.•It may be useful as optical sensor for detection of Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions.
