The Multi-Parent Biased Random-Key Genetic Algorithm with Implicit Path-Relinking and its real-world applications

•We propose a new Path-Relinking Biased Random-Key Genetic Algorithm hybridization.•The BRKGA variant uses multi-parents during the mating process.•The Implicit PR is independent of the problem and operates over BRKGA solution space.•Tests were performed on real-world large problems.•Tests suggest the new approach offers performance benefits over the standard BRKGA.
