Low-Complexity Beamspace Massive Access For B5g Cellular Internet Of Things

In this paper, we investigate the issue of massive access in beyond fifth-generation (B5G) cellular internet of thing (IoT) network. To reduce the overhead of channel state information (CSI) acquisition and the complexity of beam design in the scenario of massive IoT devices, we propose a framework of massive access in the beamspace. Then, we analyze the performance of beamspace massive access, and reveal the impacts of beamspace parameters on the sum rate. Furthermore, in order to improve the overall performance, we present a low-complexity beamspace massive access algorithm by jointly optimizing transmit and receive beamforming. Finally, simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed beamspace massive access algorithm.
