•Superhydrophobicity-memory surface was prepared by femtosecond laser ablation.•Micropillar array was formed on the surface of shape-memory polymer.•The superhydrophobicity can be reversibly switched by pressing-heating treatments.•The superhydrophobic surface have resistance to physical and chemical damages.•Rewritable platform for directional liquid transportation was realized on the surface.
